This Easter egg cozy crochet pattern is a super cute way to show off your Easter eggs. They work up so quickly that you can easily make a bunch. And since you only need a small amount of yarn per cozy, they make a great scrapbuster project too!

My favorite thing to do is use them as place setting markers for my Easter table.
Such a pretty and colorful Spring touch!

Make a magic ring (as an alternative to the magic ring, you can ch 4 and join with a slip stitch in furthest chain from hook to form a ring).
Round 1: Ch 1 (does not count as st here and throughout), work 6 sc in ring, join — 6 sts.
Round 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc in same st as join and in each st around, join — 12 sts.
Round 3: Ch 1, work 2 sc in same st as join, 1 sc in next, *2 sc in next, 1 sc in next, rep from * around, join — 18 sts.
Round 4: Ch 1, working in back loops only this round, work 1 sc in same st as join and each st around, join — 18 sts.
Round 5: Ch 1, work 1 sc in same st as join and each st around, join — 18 sts.
Round 6: Ch 1, work 1 sc in same st as join and each st around, join — 18 sts.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Super easy, right?!

This is adorable! Do you think it will work with a cheap acrylic worsted yarn?
Absolutely!! I just thought cotton might be a little stiffer to hold the egg, but acrylic will work too 🙂
I just made my first Easter Egg Cozy….looks good and was very simple, but I must say it doesn’t seem to nestle the egg as much as yours did. I am using large eggs…maybe that’s why?
I’m not sure, Anita. I used large eggs too. Perhaps I crochet a little looser. I would trying going up another hook size or adding another round if increases before working the ret evenly. Hope that helps!
Wonderful–and I love it as a hat! Ha!
Hehe! I couldn’t help myself 😉
These are just too cute! I will just have to log off now and give them a try!
Haha, I like it as a hat…
