Stitching up a crochet rug not only fits a practical use but also can add a unique style and warmth to your space. I made this cute crochet rug for the bathroom that my girls use and it really added the fun and hip vibe they were wanting. It’s a super simple basic circle pattern but the fabric yarn is what really makes it pop!
Crochet Rug Pattern
- approx 110 yds fabric yarn (I used 2 skeins of Lion Brand’s Fettuccini yarn in a solid and an assorted color design)
- US P-Q / 15 mm crochet hook
- scissors and large yarn needle

Just found this pattern, love it! To make it larger would I simply continue increasing as the pattern does? Any idea how much more yarn I would need to do a 36” round?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RUG PATTERN. I STARTED CROCHETING RAG RUGS ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND I HAVE GONE TO SEVERAL CRAFT STORES TO PICK UP SOME NEW PATTERNS, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO BOOKS WITH CROCHETED RUGS . LUCILLE

This is such a cute project, and it looks like it will work up fast. One question, though: on rounds 7-11, instead of reading *2hdc in next st, 1hdc in next however many sts as previous rows, the 1hdc is changed to 1sc. Is this part of the pattern or just a typographical error? Thanks for always posting such cool (yes, I’m over 50!) patterns. Looking forward to hearing from you, Sheila

You are correct! I just updated the pattern … thanks so much for the catch 🙂
