This Transitions Crochet Wrap Pattern was designed with 4 shades of lace weight yarn doubled together to create gentle transitions of color. I love working with blues but I can image this looking lovely worked in shades of purple and gray or maybe even with some heavily contrasted color changes.
Transitions Crochet Wrap Pattern
Here is what you will need to make the Transitions Crochet Wrap Pattern:
- 4 hanks lace weight yarn, approximately 500 yd/50 g each (shown here in JaggerSpun Zephyr)
- CA – White
- CB – Aegean Blue
- CC – Charcoal
- CD – Indigo
- H-8/5 mm hook
- Scissors and needle for finishing
This pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms and abbreviations. Stitch counts are provided at the end of each round to help you keep on track.

Finished wrap measures approximately 20 in. wide by 60 in. long once blocked.
You my find the following notes helpful before beginning:
- This wrap is worked with 2 strands of lace weight yarn held together.
- When a new color is needed, there is no need to wait for a new row; the color transitions nicely even within the row.
- I designed the point of the chevron design to be off center for added interest.
Preparing Your Yarn
Splitting the hanks does not have to be exact … I actually prefer it when the color band widths differ a little. So don’t stress about being precise with the splits below.
Wind CA and CD color into two balls — one approximately 1/3 of the hank (167 yd/17 g) and the other with the remaining 2/3 (333 yd/33 g) of the hank.
Wind CB and CC into two approximately equal balls (approx. 250 yd/25 g each).

I love this pattern! It is so nice to have a pattern that was so easy to print, so many sites are full of ads that you can’t read the patterns or make a copy of them.
