Little Hearts (make 3)
Make a magic ring (as an alternative to the magic ring, you can ch 4 and join with a slip stitch in furthest chain from hook to form a ring).
Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), working into the ring, work 3 hdc, 3 dc, ch 1, Sl st in ring, ch 1, continue working in ring 3 dc, 3 hdc, join with a Sl st in top of beg chain, pull tail of yarn to close up ring — 16 sts.
Fasten off leaving a tail of about 6 in.
Using your yarn and a tapestry needle, stitch together hearts as shown in blue below. Make a small stem by braiding the three 6 in. tails together, knot at the bottom to fasten.

You say “working into ring” …what ring?
Maria says
You just start with a Magic Circle then start with round 1 after that.

What if you don’t use the magic circles then what would be for the rings…….I was thinking a ch 4
Kara says
Yes, I usually use a ch 4 then join as an alternative to the magic ring.

That is adorable! I usually ignore shamrock patterns as they are mostly the same. Love and must do this one!
Nance in Reno says
Very cool; and no ends to weave in since they are braided into the stem. And if you did four hearts, it would be very lucky! Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations.
