I love the cross design that is worked into this square. I worked this one up from Crochet Stitches VISUAL Encyclopedia by Robyn Chachula (“Open Cross Granny Square,” p. 169). I only worked Rounds 1 through 5 of the pattern and then added an edging of single crochet around. This way, the finished square measures 6 in., the perfect size for donating.
