I recently spent a fun, kid-free day with my favorite lady … my mom :). With a whole day to fill, we decided to take a little trip to check out the Lion Brand Outlet in Carlstadt, New Jersey. What a fun store … actually, I’m not even sure store is the right term to use. It is more like a yarnie wonderland 😉
Some of the outlet highlights include:
- 50% off yarn in bags of 3
- Apple computers to browse their pattern database
- Vintage magazines for $1.00
- Free wifi and a lounge where you can sit and knit or crochet
- Fun yarn bombing displays
I even brought my camera to give you guys a peek!
Yeah, I know … enough about the store. Let’s see the stash! Here’s what followed me home … With all the great prices, I couldn’t resist!
Can’t wait to get to work!

Lol, I definitely did! My mom and I actually went back again this weekend. Yes, we were the ones with the cranky toddler 🙂

Isn’t it great? I have only been there once but it is only about 15 minutes from my house so I plan to make some more trips there. Very warm and inviting, and the people who work there are so friendly and helpful! I picked up some “treasures” such as notecards with a knitting theme and some out-of-print project booklets. Fun stuff!

Definitely is a fun place 🙂

It would probably take me about an half hour to get my bearings….books, yarn and chocolate intoxicate me…After, I got ‘sober’….let the shopping begin!
Kara at Petals to Picots says
It absolutely does! I walk in and am overwhelmed by all the options and possibilities!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Now, who is up for a bit of a road trip?! Is it bad that I wondered if the bike would be ridable? 🙂

Oh wow,…I’ve never seen anything like that store/wonderland. Looks amazing. Am I the only person who doesn’t understand how yarn bombing actually happens? lol

I could probably live in that store. 🙂
