Perfectly timed for Halloween, Beastly Crochet is a fun book filled with 23 scary-cute toys and accessories you will love. There are furry monsters, lovable robots, and lots of cute accessories. In addition to the patterns, Brenda includes a “Special Topics” section which includes her “principles of cuteness”. I love how she shows the changes of the look and personality of her critters with small changes in the placement of their facial features. Also included in this section is a review on joining and stitching, installing zippers, and some basic and specialty crochet and embroidery stitches that are used throughout the book.
