I made some new crochet pot holders for my kitchen that match those pretty crochet edged tea towels and the Happy Dishcloth Pattern that I shared with you recently. As you can see I stayed with my red and white color scheme too.
I love the simple and classic design of these crochet pot holders. And best of all … did you know you can even use them in between your nonstick pots and pans to protect them from getting scratched up?!
For extra protection for yourself and your surfaces, you can also line these with some insulating fabric such as Insul-Bright.
Crochet Pot Holders Patterns

Here’s what you need:
- 2 colors cotton worsted weight yarn (shown here in Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in colors Bright Red and Pure White)
- US H-8 / 5 mm crochet hook
- insulated backing, such as Insul-Bright (optional)
- scissors and tapestry needle for finishing

Hi. These are so cute. I have a question. When you are dropping CA to join CB, are you cutting CA or will CA be carried over?
These are so cute, and easy. Though am a beginner!
I could seriously use these around my house- I wanna say I’m still using pot holders and hot pads we got for our wedding! 😛 I wish I never had to sleep so I could do more crochet projects on top of everything else! 🙂
