This Flower Scrubby crochet pattern was just the project for using up my leftover yarn from crocheting this set of Double Sided Scrubby Dishcloths. But not only is this a great scrapbuster for your cotton and scrubby yarns, the pattern is quick and easy well.
My favorite thing about using this flower scrubby is that you can use the plain cotton petals for gentle, nonabrasive washing or use the scrubby center for tougher jobs.

My guess is so that you can have plain cotton on one side, and scratchy, scrubby yarn on the other.

When you start out, why can’t you crochet the thread and the scrubby yarn at the same time, instead of going back and doing it? Just wondering.

I’m just making these. I have tried several ways with different sizes of hooks. I first used an H hook for the cotton and H hook for the scrubby. That worked out ok but smaller than 7 inch. 2nd, I used a J hook for the cotton and H hook for the scrubby, it was ok but didn’t lay flat. 3rd, I used a J hook for both the cotton and scrubby. It’s perfect. Then I tried crocheting the cotton yarn and scrubby together with a J hook, great idea but it’s difficult to see the stitches.

What a great idea! I have been looking at many different dishcloth scrubby patterns, and this is wonderful and quick way to use the leftover yarn. Thanks so much!

Cute! I didn’t know about this type of yarn, I’ll have to keep an eye out for it, I thought it was the “fun fur” at first lol.
