The Marina Knit Shawl Pattern is an asymmetrical shawl made with three colors and uses slipped stitches for a beautiful yet easy striped colorwork design. I worked it up here in a light sport weight cotton yarn making it perfect for a breezy summer day.
For this pattern I had the chance to work with an Appalachian Baby Organic Cotton Yarn Gift Pack. As the name suggests, the yarn is 100% organic, which means no pesticides, herbicides, miticides or petroleum-based fertilizers, and it goes through an earth-friendly dye processes. Once you get the hang of this colorwork pattern you will be happily stitching along. Please don’t get overwhelmed at first glance by the instructions. I tried to add as much detail as possible for clarity and ease so that once you get the hang of the pattern it isn’t very overwhelming at all!
